I’ve remained silent on this topic for a while, but it’s time for a discussion. Target has come out and essentially said that their bathrooms will now be “gender neutral.” There has been a significant backlash, which should be expected with at least a small dose of common sense being used.
North Carolina recently came out with a law that essentially overrides any local ordinance allowing transgendered people to use which ever bathroom they choose. This has also resulted in significant backlash.
Now there are “artists” boycotting the state of North Carolina claiming they are “homophobic” and “bigots.” First of all, none of this has anything to do with homosexuality, so, if that is your argument then you might want to find another one.
Second, how is it bigoted to claim that men who have male genitalia should use the men’s room, and women with female genitalia should use the women’s room? Many of the people parroting this point of view are the same people who claim that anyone who dares disagree with them regarding man-made climate change are “science deniers.”
So, let’s look at some science. When you are born, you are born with DNA that has either an X and a Y chromosome, or DNA with two X chromosomes. Men are born with X and Y chromosomes and women are born with two X chromosomes. That is not my opinion, but a scientific FACT that we learn early in school. Just because you chop off your “tally whacker” doesn’t change that scientific fact.
With that said, yes, there could be an argument that if you go through the transition surgery as a man to become a woman, that you could be considered a woman regarding which restroom you would use (even though your DNA still shows you are a male). That doesn’t, however, justify people who claim to be “gender fluid” being able to use whatever restroom they want. The argument for this is nothing more than political correctness gone crazy in order to appease more people who want to throw themselves in a minority group and play the victim card.
To the real science deniers out there who disagree with what I’m saying, at what point is enough enough? At what point do we draw the line? How is it that in one breath we have so many people crying about the rape culture, then in the next breath fight for letting anyone go into whatever bathroom they want to go into? That’s like saying “I am so tired of the killing of animals for human consumption, so I’m going to open up a butcher shop with steaks half-off for the first month.” Can we start using logic please? Can we please wake up and stop playing this PC game that is doing nothing but destroying our society? Seriously, it’s time to wake up America.
Let’s continue to ignore that in countries like Italy and Russia, as well as many others, gay marriage is still illegal. Let’s overlook the fact that the Middle Eastern countries we continue to talk about wanting to save and be tolerant of actually behead homosexuals and throw them off rooftops. As I said before, this isn’t even an issue on homosexuality. It’s an issue of political correctness concerning less than one percent of the population. That is what we have been doing in the name of being “progressive,” despite the fact that these actions are, in fact, regressive. So, now that I’ve broken the rules of hate speech by the standards of many, let’s have a discussion.
